Dutch Snapshot Research Group

The Dutch Snapshot Research Group (DSRG) is a national surgical network for collaborative research projects that was initiated in 2014. The DSRG consists of surgeons, radiologists, radiation oncologists, surgical residents, PhD students, physician assistants and research nurses who actively participated in one or more Snapshot studies by identifying eligible patients within their own hospital and gather data on these patients. Aims

•  To initiate and coordinate Snapshot research in the Netherlands

•  To provide a network for resident-led research projects that contributes to scientific education and cooperation

•  To address knowledge gaps that can be studied using large cross-sectional study designs

•  To provide practice changing evidence in a relatively short time that is effectively transferred to daily clinical practice through the national collaborative research network
